THIS ARE MY FINE ARTWORKS THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR 2013-2014
The COLOR WHEEL-- This is the first project I did this in the first 6 weeks, I started in the center using red, yellow, and blue, then I combined them making more colors and combing those too. I really enjoyed painting this wheel because I learn the colors I have to use in order to make other colors, and discover the different shades using white and black as well.
The COLIBRI-- I found this picture in a National Geographic magazine, I used acrylic paint, and used different green tones. If you look further in my blogger and find the area where this picture is, the progress is seen starting from the pencil going up to the bird and finishing with the background, I enjoyed painting because the colors pink, gray, and black combine perfectly.
The NIGHT CASTLE-- This artwork was my 3rd. painting, using acrylics, I started painting the glass, making different tones on the plants, I painted the castle, then I worked on the details of the walls. The sky was my favorite part I used different shades of blue from light to almost black, and the cloud also came out good with the moon.
SNOW MOUNTAINS-- This is another project found in a magazine. The project reflects a Black and White image, the original picture or solid one is found in my blog, I learned how to make different combinations with just 2 colors, Black and White. The details on the mountains are trees and cracks or sharp edges.
FLAVORS OF LIFE-- This is the project I took to Art VASE, is a watercolor piece, where I drew the outline of the candy as seen in the real 3D still life, then I colored with wood pencils and went over it with water.
The SKELETON-- This is a still life I did with a violin, a huge guitar and a skeleton, the background was 2 colored striped thin blankets, I had fun making the color of the skeleton and the stripes.
ROSES FOR MOM--
This project was taking from a still life, flowers brought from home, I spend about an entire 6 weeks on this project, and gave it to my mom for Mother's Day, the thing I liked the most was the flowers and the little painting on the back. I used acrylic paint and a variety of colors ranging from pinks to blues, and dark to white, the background was solid blue which I think it gave a better look to the vase and flowers. I truly enjoyed this one is the best one of the year.
REACHING HANDS-- This is the last project I did this year. It consisted of going outside, tracing my shadows of arms hands and head on paper, then cutting it out, to later trace them in a white paper, and colored it with pastels of all colors, and using other colors for shadow, I liked this project except for the fact that it was dirty and I had to watch my hands every time I wanted to use another color. Progress of it can be seen in older posts.
